UAD 2 landed in the PmP studio

When mixing the new album “Moonshine” of the Dutch band Half Way Station, I ran to a problem. The reverb plugins that I use for a while didn’t cut for the sound that I was looking for. Working already a long time with the real reverb units like the Lexicon’s (224/480L, PCM series) EMT’s & AKG’s, I knew I need something more gritty/grainy then the clean and excellent Lexicon PCM plugins. After searching I landed at Universal Audio with the UAD2 Lexicon 224 plugin. It is bang on what I searching for. And the best of all it... 9 out of 10 I and my clients can’t hear the difference on my K&H 300 monitors between the real deal and the UAD plugin. So no more wasting time one maintenance, noise and strange moments of not working units. Great working reverb, easy to setup, more then 1 instances and well... brilliant sounding lush reverbs!
And no good reverb without a good eq, so the Neve 1081 joint my arsenal also!
Oh and one more thing... I bought the Dimension D & EP-34 Echoplex also. My new secret weapons to make things more larger and “interesting” sounding.
